Patient Voice Volunteer
What do Patient Voice Volunteers do?
Patient Voice Volunteers support the ongoing work across the organisation, ensuring that the voices of the service users at the Health Board are being heard. They do this through spending time undertaking premade feedback surveys with our service users and sharing positive feedback with Health Board staff.
Main Tasks
Assisting identified service users (patients/family/staff) to give their feedback via Health Board surveys (usually while on the wards)
Spend time conversing with and listening to Health Board service users
Support with the inspection and monitoring of our electronic feedback Kiosks (knowledge of IT or computers is not needed for this task)
Facilitate sharing positive feedback from our service users directly with our staff
You must be 18 years old or above to become a Patient Voice Volunteer.
Locations: University Hospital Wales and/or University Hospital Llandough.
Please note that this role does not include advocacy or counselling.
Time commitment: A suggested weekly time commitment is 2 hours, Monday - Friday available, flexible and negotiable with the organisation.
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training provided: Full training is provided.
Selection procedure: Informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references, a health check and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
