CUBE (Community United Barry 4 Everyone)

CUBE is an individual and whole family centre for people living with mental health, domestic abuse, and additions.  We are a community run by the community in the heart of Barry that has been established since January 2020.   As a direct response to issues highlighted by the community itself. Our projects and programme are funded for 3 years by the Community Fund by the Big Lottery Wales and supported by the European Regional Development Fund through Welsh Government.

By directly involving the community in the design and delivery of our projects we can link them into a variety of different support networks allowing them to access the help and advice they need to solve problems, overcome barriers, improve health and wellbeing, gain confidence, and move forward with their lives.

We work restoratively which means that we believe people are the experts in their own lives. And we are looking to recruit someone who believes that people can make their own choices and that your role is to work with them to find meaningful experiences as a mentor either within the centre or within the community of Barry.
