Have Your Say on the Future Dementia Action Plan for Wales

Welsh Government is developing a new Dementia Action Plan for Wales, and we want to make sure the voices of people in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan are heard.

The plan will shape how services and support are delivered over the next few years — so it’s vital that it reflects the real experiences and needs of people living with dementia, unpaid carers, families, and the communities who support them.

The Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board (RPB) is a partnership that includes Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan Councils and other Third Sector partner organisations, and is gathering local feedback through a short survey and community conversations across the region. Your views will form part of our regional response to Welsh Government and help influence the final national plan.

We want to hear from you if you:

  • Live with dementia or support someone who does

  • Are an unpaid carer or family member

  • Work or volunteer with people affected by dementia

  • Are part of a dementia-friendly community group

The survey will remain open throughout October and November 2025, with all feedback helping to shape the final submission to Welsh Government in December.

Together, we can help ensure that the Dementia Action Plan truly reflects what matters most to people in our communities.
