Community Champion – Wales
Could you spread awareness of our services to your local community? Are you a people person and are passionate about helping others? Do you have a few hours to spare each month to support and champion Epilepsy Action in your local area?
This is the role for you!
Our Community Champions are at the heart of helping us to create a world without limits for people with epilepsy. They offer support and visibility at a local level, from fundraising to awareness raising and will help us achieve these goals. The Community Champion Volunteers in South Wales have three main roles:
Help raise awareness about Epilepsy Action’s work to make a difference for people living with epilepsy
You’ll assist with setting up information stands, engaging with the general public, distributing materials, and helping to challenge the stigma surrounding epilepsy
To actively engage and build networks and connections with local groups and associations in South Wales
There will be flexibility, so you can decide how you want to support and champion Epilepsy Action, to really make a difference at the heart of your community.
Over time as we grow our Community Champion network there will be more opportunities to get involved and encourage others to organise a wider variety of activities and fundraising in your community. We'd love to hear your ideas too!
You'll be joining our vibrant volunteer community and will be fully supported by our dedicated volunteer team.
