Role Overview:
The Sponsorship Officer will play a key role in supporting the club’s sustainability and growth by securing sponsorships for teams across all age groups. This vital role helps ensure that every player has access to essential resources such as kits, equipment, and training materials. You’ll be the bridge between AFC Rhoose and the local business community; building relationships, promoting the club, and finding opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced DBS (paid for by FAW) and have no financial convictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and approach local and regional businesses for potential sponsorship opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new sponsors.
Work with team managers to understand each age group’s needs (e.g. new kits, training wear, or equipment).
Create sponsorship packages and proposals that highlight the benefits of supporting AFC Rhoose.
Ensure sponsor logos and acknowledgements are appropriately displayed (e.g. on kits, social media, and club materials).
Keep accurate records of all sponsorship agreements and contributions.
Collaborate with the club committee to promote sponsors through club communications and events.
Skills and Qualities Needed:
Friendly, confident, and comfortable approaching local businesses.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Enthusiasm for community football and grassroots sport.
Creative approach to fundraising and partnership building.
Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive volunteer team.
Willingness to help with club events if needed.
