Volunteer as a Trustee and make a difference to the welfare and lives of vulnerable young people

Amelia Trust Farm has a vacancy on its Board of Trustees.  We would particularly welcome applicants who have experience in business, finance or fundraising.

This is a fantastic opportunity to really make a difference to the welfare and lives of vulnerable young people in the South Wales area.   As a Trustee of Amelia Trust Farm, you will not be paid but you will have the chance to help shape the strategic direction of a small, independent charity and not only ensure it continues to provide invaluable support to the community, but also ensure that it maintains high standards of good governance.

We are looking for someone who could offer strategic vision, has effective communication skills and is committed to the values and objectives of the Amelia Trust Farm.  With the ability to make sound, independent judgements and think creatively, we need an individual who has an understanding of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship as set out by the Charity Commission.

The Amelia Trust Farm is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from a wide applicant base.

Time commitment: Board meetings held every two months and an annual general meeting on Tuesday evenings at 7pm.  Other trustee meetings are also held from time to time where attendance is necessary including sub-committee meetings.  Preparatory work is required in advance of and sometimes following each meeting.
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are not reimbursed
Training provided: In-house training is provided.
Selection procedures: An informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references, and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
