This opportunity and environment is a fantastic place to socialise and make new friends. There is always time to socialise and have a laugh, we try to do 2 trips a year for the volunteers, a summer trip, and a Christmas shopping trip, we have 2 fundraiser fairs, Spring/Easter and Christmas, Christmas lunch out, and volunteers' meetings around 3 times a year with sarnies and cakes!
Monday is our stitch class; the cafe is open through this, and Wednesday our Exercise class, the cafe is closed during this time, and we encourage the volunteers to join in, we still open and set up early, because we can't clatter & chatter while the class is running.
