Volunteer Supporting Victims of Crime

As a Victim Support Telephone volunteer aged 18+, we will train you to support victims from the first time you meet them until they feel strong enough to move forward on their own.  You will listen to their concerns and make sure that their needs are met.

Here at Victim Support we not only understand the damaging effects of crime and how to deliver effective support, but are well established in all areas of society enabling us to reach out to people and communities in need.

Our charity is built on our volunteers.  Without them we couldn't continue to do all the positive work for victims and witnesses of crime in England and Wales.

Time commitment: A suggested weekly time commitment is 2 hours, negotiable with the organisation.
Training provided: Full training is provided.
Travel Expenses: Out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.
Selection procedures: An informal discussion, application form completion and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
