Chwarae Teg is carrying out a research into disability and employment, in which we will explore the barriers that disabled women experience in their careers. The research aims to help decision makers and employers to make positive changes for disabled people in employment.

Carers Survey for Staff

As part of National Work Life Week 2019 the Patient Experience Team will be launching a survey for staff who also undertake an unpaid caring role. The aim of the survey is to understand how juggling a caring role alongside work can affect our staff and if they feel supported in their workplace.

Summer Fun – A Huge Hit at Amelia Trust Farm

Summer fun at Amelia Trust Farm was a big success this year, despite the roadworks on the five mile lane. “The roadworks on the Five Mile Lane have had an impact on our fundraising when there have been closures but thankfully visitors were able to reach us throughout the school holidays,” commented Karen Turnbull, Director.

Heritage Lottery Fund success for Victoria Square

After a busy spring and early summer compiling a detailed application to The National Lottery Heritage Lottery Fund, Friends of Victoria Square (FoVS) are very pleased to announce that they have secured a £9000 award. The money is principally being used to undertake Tree and Biodiversity Surveys of the Square.

Motion Control Dance is looking for new members this term to help enrich lives

We offer weekly sessions for children and young people in street dance, break dance and creative dance. We also are the only providers that offer unique dance sessions for those with disabilities in the Vale. We have adult fitness classes as well as sessions designed for the more mature dancer with creative sessions, Tai Chi and also dance & dementia. We believe that everyone can have a Chance 2 Dance.
