Bro Radio continues to expand coverage across the Vale of Glamorgan Coast

Following Bro Radio's launch on 100.2fm in Llantwit Major and surrounding areas, the station has now announced plans to launch in Penarth later this year on 106.1fm – bringing its service across the Vale of Glamorgan Coast. Launched back in 2009, Bro Radio is a volunteer led community radio service – which has continued to deliver local radio for the county during lockdown, from the homes of it volunteers.

Our Olympic Style Air Gun Club was formed in June 2012 it was then called LS.HAVEN AIR TARGET CLUB Then January 1st 2019 we renamed it BARRY AIR TARGET CLUB We have about 20 members from the age of 10 accompanied by Dad or Mum or and adult Then 12 year olds upwards can attend unaccompanied.

Volunteers' Week congratulations from Alun Cairns MP and Jane Hutt MS

Volunteers’ Week takes place 1 – 7 June this year. It’s a chance to celebrate and say thank you for the contribution volunteers make across the Vale of Glamorgan. Since the outbreak of Coronavirus, GVS has had to curtail its usual activities scheduled for Volunteers’ Week. However, despite of this, we all still need to thank and value all volunteers especially in this time of the pandemic where the role and value of volunteers has been crucial. Jane Hutt, Senedd Member for the Vale of Glamorgan and Alun Cairns, Member of Parliament for the Vale of Glamorgan wish to thank the volunteers of the Vale of Glamorgan.

Bro Radio set to launch in Llantwit Major on 100.2fm

Bro Radio, the community radio station for the Vale of Glamorgan, is excited to announce that industry regulator OFCOM, has approved plans for the station to improve and extend its FM coverage in 2020. The plans will not only see the station boost its existing FM coverage in Barry, but also launch a brand new frequency, 100.2fm, for listeners in and around Llantwit Major.

MCD celebrates 5 years as a community dance charity

Our Director went Live for the first time this week on Facebook to celebrate the success of Motion Control Dance as we enter our 5th year as a charity, although Emma Mallam was actually celebrating 20 years since she started her first dance session in Barry. Congratulations - we hope that we will survive this crisis to celebrate together and continue our good work for another 20 years.
