We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers aged 18+ who would like to give information and advice on a range of assistive equipment for people with a hearing loss (doorbells, personal loop systems, tinnitus relaxers, etc.).
You will be based at Barry Senior Health Shop as part of our Live Well with Hearing Loss Project. You will be provided with a range of equipment and a display table, you will be a key part of our project by providing hands on demonstrations and information for people within the Health Shop.
Duties will include to:
- be responsible for setting up and manning an equipment table at said location
- be responsible for the demonstration of a small amount of assistive equipment (tinnitus relaxer, TV loop, personal loop, alarm clock, flashing doorbell)
- provide information and advice
- signpost to the Live Well with Hearing Loss project and other services
You would need to be available 1st Thursday morning of every month.
Full training is provided and expenses are reimbursed.
