You don’t need to run to be part of race day!

Volunteers are essential in making sure that race day is a huge success and you will be part of a large team of amazing volunteers called ‘The Extra-Milers’ that will help ensure that runners and spectators alike have a great experience. Taking place on Sunday 5 August the event forms part of the Barry Summer Weekenders and will incorporate a 10k race and family fun run.

Barry to host important Charity Conference in November 2018

The theme of this year’s conference is “A Matter of Trust” and will focus on what charities and other Third Sector organisations need to do to help increase or rebuild the trust of the public in the light of recent events and increasing scrutiny. Representatives from the Charity Commission and Geldards LLP will be in attendance along with Cllr. Leighton Rowlands – Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan.

Peer Volunteers Wanted - Building Bridges Volunteer Peer Mediator

What does it involve: as a volunteer peer mediator you will be helping your community work together more effectively. This will be done by working with other families and professionals who may be involved with families. You will support them to find solutions and strengths to problems they may be having such as arguments, disputes and disagreements. You will be there to work with them to find a way to move forward.

NEW Garden Volunteering Project

Volunteers are now being recruited for a brand new garden support project in the Vale of Glamorgan. You can earn Time Credits by volunteering to support tenants with their gardens. Volunteering duties will include: Mowing lawns, maintaining and clearing gardens, hedge strimming and weeding.
