DCMS urges people to pledge to volunteer for Local Charities Day 2018

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport has said it aims to reach 1,000 hours of pledged volunteering time for its 2018 Local Charities Day campaign. Local Charities Day will take place on Friday 14 December this year, and a spokeswoman from DCMS said that the government hoped members of the public would collectively pledge 1,000 hours of volunteering for local good causes.

Llantwit Major Youth Centre

Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) is delighted to be negotiating with the Vale of Glamorgan Council for the Leasehold interest in the building known locally as the Llantwit Major Youth Centre. GVS is keen to allay any fears that the local community may have about the future of the youth clubs that are run from the building.
